New socks

I've been on a quest to knit more socks. They're the perfect hot weather project and I'm really hoping they'll keep my feet warm during the cold winter ahead.

I found some lovely new Opal sock yarn in the Ecuador Elly colorway. I just love the little pops of yellow amongst the pink and turquoise.

Hopefully I'll be able to add these to the sock drawer soon!

Tan House Brook Shawl

This is my finished Tan House Brook Shawl by Jennifer Lassonde (also known as BostenJen on Ravelry).

Yarn: Thoroughly Thwacked Springy fingering weight in the Purple Lotus gradient. Purchased from Main Street Yarn at the Wool Village, Organic Farm Festival, Grange Fairgrounds.

I used size 7 needles as called for in the pattern.

I love the textured stitches and the eyelets. I definitely expect this shawl to see a lot of wear in the fall!
